Berolina Haus has five room types for couples, friends and families. They all share a private bathroom with a shower, hairdryer and free toiletries, a flat-screen TV, a desk, a wardrobe, heating and a socket right by the bed. Almost every room also has an electric kettle.
What sets them apart is size and sleeping arrangement: the double rooms measure 15 to 20 m², the triple room 25 m² and the family room 30 m². If you're travelling in a group on a budget, bunk beds keep things simple; if you prefer a classic set-up, choose the double room with its French double bed. All rooms are non-smoking.

Düsseldorf Airport is only about 5 km away, and the S-Bahn is the easiest way in: from Düsseldorf-Zoo station, a few minutes' walk from the house, lines S1 and S11 reach the airport in around 15 minutes, while in the other direction you're at the main station within a few minutes. Wehrhahn station is also about 700 m away, and the Schillerplatz tram stop is only a few minutes on foot. If you're driving, note that the property has no parking of its own, so the train is the more relaxed option. Check-in is between 15:00 and 22:00.
Green space is close at hand: the Zoopark, laid out on the grounds of the old zoo, has mature trees, ponds and playgrounds. About 800 m away are Schloss Jägerhof and the Goethe Museum, with the Hofgarten, one of Germany's oldest public parks, just beyond. From there it's a short walk to the Königsallee with its canal and to the K20 art collection. The Old Town around Burgplatz is packed with pubs and brewhouses where you can try the local Altbier, and Carlsplatz hosts a long-established market with more than 60 stalls. A stroll along the Rhine promenade leads to the Rheinturm and its viewing platform and on to the MedienHafen and its modern architecture. The city is at its liveliest during Carnival in February or March, Japan Day in May, the Rheinkirmes fair in summer and the Christmas markets in December. For a night at the theatre, the Capitol Theater and the Schauspielhaus are around 1.3 km away, and the Kom(m)ödchen cabaret and the Theater an der Kö about 1.5 km.
